Welcome to my E-Portfolio!
My name is Jasmine Leung and I am a student at the University of Washington, graduating in June 2019. I am passionate about the environment, sustainability, and education. I have been a full-time student at the University of Washington since October 2015, taking summers off to work and intern full-time with various companies and organizations.
The E-Portfolio is an online website showcasing my work, skills, and experiences during my time at the University of Washington (UW), particularly my time in my last two years at the UW, when I was in the Community, Environment, and Planning (CEP) major. Here you can find details and examples of work I have done for internships, coursework, and special projects. In addition, I have also included examples of digital media I have personally designed and created, as well as photos of some of my travels abroad. Under the "Academics" tab, you can find my Individualized Study Plan (ISP), a outline and reflection of my academics during my latter two years at the University of Washington. I would also like to highlight Empowered Eco-Education, found under the "Projects & Accomplishments" of "Internships & Projects," as well as my Senior Project, found under "Academics."
Empowered Eco-Education is a UW Seminar course where UW students develop their own environmental or natural-science based curriculum and teach this curriculum to elementary students in a neighborhood in Seattle. I have participated in this course for four years and facilitated the course, acting as the student instructor, for three years. Through this experience I have developed strong organization, facilitation, teaching, and curriculum development skills. This in turn has helped me acquire teaching and curriculum development positions at a children's coding education organization and an urban engagement and outreach position with the National Park Service.
My Senior Project was a initiative to implement a undergraduate sustainability graduation requirement at the University of Washington. This process involved doing research on sustainability graduation requirement and UW policy; interviewing and meeting with UW faculty, staff, students, and administrators; and forming a student coalition to continue to work with administration to implement the policy after I graduate.
Although this E-Portfolio does not capture every single accomplishment or experience I have done while I have been at the University of Washinton, I hope it gives you a good picture of who I am, what I have done, and what I am capable of.
Thank you!
